Why should Church and State
be separate? Church and State should be separate because people would be
offended because not all people are religious. Just keep it on a level to where
everyone feels comfortable and could express their beliefs with out being offended.
In the United States, we all have the freedom of religion but yet some people
use that to their advantage and use it the wrong way. For example, schools
students use to say the Lords prayer. But what about everyone else that goes to
that school, you never know it could be someone that is Muslim or has a
different belief. They could get offended and would have a problem with saying
the Lords prayer. The reason why they are offended is because we have the right
of religion but it’s being used the wrong way. Basically, the focus would be on
Christianity and not on the other students and their beliefs. Many schools have
students who are Christian, Muslim, Buddhist, and even Jewish. Not all of these
beliefs all belief in just Christ. That’s why we have to keep Religion and
Government at a distance. Our country has more than one type of religion it’s a
diversity of them. One thing about our society is that we are all equal, and
that this is not a theocracy this is a democracy we the people decide what we
want for our country this is not ran by a certain religion. That’s why I think
that the government and religion should be separate.
You have a good point about having religion and the government separated.
