confess save the trouble, your reputation is not worth your life (Leroy)

In Salem many people died by telling the truth, but more people live by pleading guilty of witchcraft. I think the rules we’re stupid, anyone in the correct state of mind would see that people only confess a lie to save their lives. Me personally would not have a problem with pleading guilty to save my life. I have nieces and family to live for. I know the normal human causality is to tell on another for bringing their selves harm. I would not gives new names, because that seems like it would elevate the problem, and bring more people to that turning point. John proctor at the end of the play denied Abigail’s life, and pleaded innocent. I think is reason of doing that was for respect. If john proctor would have pleaded guilty, witchcraft would be stuck on his name, and his three children would have to grow up knowing that it was proven their father had something to do witch craft.
I am a type of person that does not care what the next person thinks. I think people will have to learn that in life, because it will always be gossip upon you. I am a Christian and lying is not one my favorites, but to save my life I would have to ask for forgiveness once again.
