"Francois Villon was a medieval French post. He was a
criminal, and in 1462 he was sentenced in to death by hanging. He wrote a book
while being in prison the book is called ‘ballade des Pendus’ he wrote it
before he was hanged. The reason he was sentenced to death hanging was because he
killed a priest in 1455. Then joined a criminal organization and was involved
in robbery, theft, and brawling. The meaning of the lines in the beginning of
the book is “ o brother men who live, though we are gone, let not your hearts
be hardened at the view, for if you pity us you gaze upon, god is more like to
show you mercy too…. Pray then to god that he forgive us all”. The reason for these
specific lines from this poet is because of how touching this book is so they
can realize that even after doing something to someone its always going to hit
us. And its basically he’s trying to touch peoples feelings. They way they
relate to the text is by whoever murder a person for having no reason there
always going to suffer no matter what. And its trying to say that even if there
gone let it not hurt you when you see your new view, god is showing you peace
and pray so god will forgive us all.
