Reputation (Carlton)
I think that in today’s society reputation is still
important. Your reputation is information that is used to make a value judgment
on you. People judge others on what they hear about them, what they witness that
person is doing, and what he or she looks like. It is better to have a good
reputation than to have a bad one because most people today go on by what your
reputation is. If you cause a lot of trouble people will assume that you are a
troublemaker. If you are an honest person people will consider you trustworthy.
If you go in and out of prison people would consider you a criminal, which
would make it harder for you to get a job or make people believe you. A lot of
people take their reputation serious while others really do not care what
people have to say about them. If you want to be elected for president it is important
that you have a good reputation. People wouldn’t want to elected someone that
is known to create bigger problems instead of fixing the ones that need to be
fix when they could elect a person that can come in and fix everything right
away.
