Reputation (Kevin)
Reputation
played a very important role in Salem during the witch trials as well as it
does in Today’s Society. No matter what we do, or where we go the people and
community that surrounds us, if for the better or the worst inevitably judge us.
If someone dresses, talks, or acts differently they are look at as weird. A lot
of people change things about themselves that they love to fit in and socially
be accepted by Society in fear of being an outcast or judged by others on their
beliefs, behavior, or looks. Almost
everyone wants to be socially accepted and wants to fit in but that can be very
challenging to achieve with a bad reputation. When you earn yourself a bad
reputation it sticks for a while and it is hard to get rid of. Judgment is a
natural reaction when we first meet someone. If someone you are meeting for the
first time has a bad reputation you will automatically assume they are a bad
person because of the things you heard from other people about that person. I
believe that people should care about what other people think about them only
to an extent, but not change anything about themselves that they believe is
right even when other people may not agree with it.
