The Death Penalty (Vanessa)

Death penalty is the last form of punishment for a criminal. It is the killing of a prisoner by aider hanging or other forms of execution. In my opinion I do not think death penalty prevent crime in our country. First if death penalty prevented crime for happening we would not have any crime or criminals out in the streets or in jail. Second death penalty does bring a form of revenge to the families and love one of the victims but it does not bring the victim back to life. I do think death penalty should be used, but only on the criminals that need it. For example if a person shoots twenty people in the streets because he enjoyed it than yeah he should face death penalty, because a man who did so much harm to so many people could find a way to do it again. In my opinion death penalty brings comfort to families of the people who got killed, but it does not stop crime, it makes it worst. For example if a black man kills a white man, and the black man gets death penalty, both families are going to be hating each other and that’s how racial hate starts. Basically one thing leads to another. In my opinion criminals who really need the death penalty should get the death penalty, but making sure that he or she is guilty.
