I think they deserve the death penalty because they single handely killed four innocent people. From reading the book I came to the conclusion that they were ex criminals anyway and I believe they didn’t deserve a second chance. Tell me this, how can you just get out of prision and go try to rob someone and take the life of innocent children and innnocent parents? The Clutters were the most loved people in the town you never heard anything bad about them or you didn’t even hear about them having enemies . The kids were 16-18 they could have had a bright future ahead of them but there lives were tooken away by two sick,crazy,insane criminals. Why throw them in jail I believe since the took the life of FOUR innocent people we should take theres too. On top of that they tried to rape the daughter before they could her. Would you want this to happen to your children or your mother and father. I think the penitentiary is to easy for the both of them. They already have been in the penitentiary before so they already now how to survive and maneuver in jail. So yes I belive they deserve the death penalty.
