Allusions and Characters
Capote explains the land in Kansas to be Old, but beautiful. The buildings are old and also reused. Its very calm, and everyone knows each other in the small town of Holcomb. He describes the Clutter family and what is going on with them for example: Everyone in town knows Mr. Clutter and it talks about his religion. For Mrs. Clutter, She has depression problems and how it affects her, Also, she has a spine problem, which is dislocated. Now, because of the mothers illness, Nancy, The daughter, has to take the motherly roles in the house, Such as Cleaning and Washing Dishes, Cooking and more. Also, Nancy has A Boyfriend, Which her dad doesn't let her sleep with, i agree with Mr. Clutter, because if Nancy sleeps with this boy, she would of had more problems in the house, she could of got pregnant and have more to be responsible for, which i think he can't handle. The characters are well explained and gives me an image on how they are and how they look. So far the story is getting a bit intense, Perry and Dick are getting ready to do something bad, they stole a Chevy and are out getting rubber gloves and stockings, and for some reason, Dick doesn't want the stockings to be light because they would be able to see his eye color which is very light. what is going to happen? i don't know yet.
