Theme (Malik)

I think the theme of the story is Nature Vs Nurture because the questions is was it meant for them to be criminals or were they born to be criminals. In the book Truman capote describes how they lived growing up and how that could have an effect on the road they chose in life. The main reason I think that all of this were meant to happen because the criminals had a very good relationship in jail and even when they had gotten out of jail. It was meant because out of all the people in the penitentiary they were the ones chosen to do the crime. But I truly believe they childhoods is what effected them the most in life and that’s what made them give up on life and do wrong instead of right It also was to show us that karma is true and nothing good will happen for doing something wrong because after they killed the clutters they were safe for only a little while and came back and got caught. In return they both got the death penalty for what they have done to this innocent family. So by him writing this book he is telling us you can’t do something wrong and think you are going to get away with it.
