prologue (Daniel)

I think capote put this poem on the beginning of the book for the killers because he is trying to tell them that karma will get to them. I think that the poems says don’t feel sorry for any one or anything even if they are not alive because they can feel sorry for you too. I think he is also saying that we should cry for those who have died because on day were are going to be up there with them and some one else is going to feel sorry for you and I don’t think you want anybody feeling sorry for you. I think this isn’t just going for the killers but also to the family and friends of the clutters family to not be sad or down that the killers were sent to jail and they paid for what they did and that they can not do anything about it and that’s just the end of the story. I also think that capote put this because he got really close to the clutters even though they were dead I think he did so much research and started knowing so much about them that he actually felt love for them and that’s why I think that he put the poem at the front of the book.
