In Salem your reputation was very important. It could depend on your own life. These events mostly happened in the late 1600’s. In that time Salem was full of religion and judgments. You could have been executed for being different or be punished for not going to church! Time has changed and changed many things as well. Even though there are some things that stay the same.

Although we are in the 21^st century there are things that haven’t changed. People still are judged and killed because of having different thoughts and many other reasons. In the USA it is not allowed to punish anyone because of what they are and what they believe. It is said that we are a nation that allows freedom. In a way we do. We have freedom of speech and religion and many more, but people are still judged. It also has affect on your reputation.

            Many people need and care about their reputation. It is important for variable reasons. You need it for jobs and education. It is important you have one that will allow you get the important things in your life done. When people go around and say things about you, it can and will affect your reputation. That’s why the majority of people try to stay out of people’s mouth and keep clean.

            I think it’s important to have a good reputation that speaks good about you and who you are, but to be honest your never going to leave everyone satisfied. Although people do care , many don’t. In a way it’s good, but also not at many times.
