Setting and Plot Structure (Rebecca)

Setting
Holcomb has buildings just like any other town। It is different because in Holcomb everyone knows each other and it’s a peaceful town and its small। I think he spends so much time describing the town so the reader can imagine how the town of Holcomb is compared to any other town.
Plot/structure
He puts a lot of detail in his description. The effect it gives is that the reader is eager to read what comes next and gets to see both sides of the characters lives and how they come together. Capote depicts the murders in the middle of the story. He tells every single thing they do. I think he structures his story like this because it helps the reader understand whats happening and it keeps the reader on their toes on what happens next.
