I believe that the author Arthur Miller surrounded the theme
of the crucible and the name of the book by the definition of, a severe test or trial, because all throughout the book it
gives evidence that the witch trials was a severe test of strength and faith in
your religion. The characters in the book were put through accusations and they
watched as their town was tearing apart due to hysteria and strict puritan
rules. One of the major indicators of that the book is based on this definition
is the word “trials”. Characters were incarcerated and were put on trial to
confess their bids with the devil or their loyalty to god and their religion. People were forced to lie in order to save
their life because if they didn’t confess they would be hung in the middle of
the town where everyone could see but if they do they will be known as a liar.
The arise of so-called “witchcraft” changed the town completely. People who
know each other began accusing each other of things that don’t even exist to
save your own life and when you have to do that the situation has to be very
serious

Family (Jose)
-->
People Care When you do something stupid but then some
peoples don’t care cause they just don’t care. But if it was somebody that I
know and that she doing something stupid then yeah I would care a lot because
she could be my friend or one of my family and I wouldn’t let her go do
whatever she wants cause its bad. For a example if she go prostitute In the
midnights like I would care a lot because she my friend or she could be one of
my family but yeah I would care and try to talk to her to leave all the crap
and have a better feature cause peoples are going to be noisy if she be
prostituted her self and I don’t think its right to be doing that stuff because
it looks bad if girls are being a hoe so yeah I would care for those people’s
that are doing those stuff especially for girls cause to be honest it look’s
really bad for being a hoe and just to get some money but yeah that’s my
opinion for that I would care a lot of
the person.
The Theme of The Crucible (Vanessa)
The theme of The Crucible is that it might be
better to die with integrity than to compromise your faith, honor, and decency
in order to live. In my opinion I think it’s better to die telling the truth
than to live being a liar. I think that John’s decision in The Crucible, dying
standing up for what he believed was a good decision. I am happy that he chose
to tell the truth rather than lie. I know I would of done the same thing if I was
in his place. If I had to chose between lies and live than die and say the
truth I think I would tell the truth. In my opinion I would not like to live
and be a liar. The truth always comes out, I wouldn’t like for my family and
friends to know me as that girl who lied or the imposter. If I had to die
saying the truth I would be okay with it because I would die with a good
reputation and dignity. I know it would hurt my mom to lose her daughter but I think
it would hurt her more to know that she was a layer.

Theme of the Crucible (Daleshawn)
One of the themes of the Crucible is that it is better to
die with your honor, instead of compromising your faith, honor, and decency in
order to live. If I were to live without my dignity I would feel terrible. The
reason why I would feel terrible is that I would not have respect for myself
for what I did or what I said to live. Some of the reasons why I would die is
because it would make me look and feel like a better person, my name will be
well respected and remembered, and a lot of people will think good things about
me. If I die for my honor it would make me happy because I believe that I did
the right thing. Another reason I would be happy is that a lot of people will
respect me for doing the right thing for the right cause and will remember me
as a good person. I do not think that I could live without my honor because I
think that other people will think I’m an non trust worthy person,
disrespectful, and other things like that. I also would not have faith in
myself to do well, do the right thing, be respectful, and do well in school.
The main reason why I would die is that I believe it is the right thing to die
for your honor, respect, dignity, integrity, and faith and other things like
that. So if I had a choice out of living without honor or die with my honor, my
choice would be to die with my honor.

The Meaning Of Crucible (Alberto)
The meaning of crucible is
a container made of a substance that can resist great heat, for melting, and fusing
metals, etc. This meaning would describe
the story because I think that the story is mainly talking about the how people
are trying to kill the witches because they think that they are daughters of
the devil. The story also talks about how the witches blamed others so they can
stay alive. I think that in the story is basically saying that they are really
strong and nothing can destroy them. In the book that’s how the story started
by talking about how the witches were really strong because they are a team and
how good they work together, and when you’re together no one can defeat you. In
the book the girls were made into witches because of tituba, he was the one who
created them. The story also describes how difficult is to get rid of the
witches because they are all in a group and there really strong together. The
only thing that the witches have in common was that they were all created by
tituba. This definition helps the story a lot because it tells everything that
happens to the girls.
