Trumans choice of poem (Leroy)

Brothers that live when we are dead, don’t set yourself against us too. If you could pity us instead,
then God may sooner pity to you. I think what he means by this poem, is that for who ever was not affected in the cold blood murder. Should not judge and should show some care. I think he also said this, to keep readers from thinking worse of the victims that took place in the book. When I read the translation of his French poem to English, it was after I got far into the book. The effect it had on me was bringing me closer to the victims,  because what goes around do come around. Many people don’t usually show sympathy to people they don’t know well, I think that is why the victims are round in the book. When someone dies everyday, and yet are life’s are not effected. I recently had someone who I did not know on the best note, but yet I still showed him pity and respect to attending his funeral. If the world had more pity respect, and sympathy the world would be a better place. When someone dies they should still be respected as a person. Me personally when I die, I would not mind any body’s pity besides my family I don’t need anyone else. You know?
