Innocent (Carlos)
Once people see that someone is telling the
truth they might do the same. Perhaps they felt really guilty and probably
couldn’t handle it anymore. There are times when they confess the truth they
still have risks of still getting hanged or killed in a different way. Some are
lucky that they will be set free while others don’t have as much luck. I think
honor and respect are important because it helps the judge see that the person
is not selfish. Others don’t think honor and respect are important, they probably
think they will be set free but they are just putting themselves in more risk
of being put on prison or being killed someone finds out that they were lying. I
would have felt bad for those that are telling lies. I think it’s unfair that
they get hanged for something they didn’t do. Some don’t want to plead guilty
because it would ruin their reputation. I think there is no point in pleading
guilty if they’re still going to put you in jail for life or hanged.

Plead Innocent (Karla)
I would stand up for myself and plead
innocent to being a witch because I wouldn’t want to spend most of my life
locked up and it’s not fair of being hanged just because you plead innocent. I
really don’t see a point of pleading guilty and going to jail for the rest of
your life. What made people stand up for themselves is that they are not
willing to plead guilty to something they didn’t do or they didn’t want to be
locked up their entire life, and they’re willing to give there life to prove
themselves innocent. Some people really cared about their
reputation and they didn’t want their reputation ruined by something that’s not
true. wouldn’t blame other person just to save
myself that’s just being selfish; they might a family to take care of. If I was
in their place I would of felt mad and betrayed. Honor and respect is important
in some occasions, I rather die with honor then be accuse of being a witch.
Innocent (Izzy)
People weren’t welling to save their lives in order to risk
someone else’s life, most of the people died because they really didn’t know
what was going on and decided to go with the truth. When people went with
innocent was because they knew that the hole witch talk was a phony and they
didn’t feel like just giving other people up to save them self’s. Most people decided to die because of honor.
So nobody in his or her town can go around saying there’s a witch who snitched
on a witch or if there kids later on in life grew up knowing that there parents
weren’t loyal or trust worthy
to plead innocent to being a witch (Monica)
When someone said they were innocent its because they
probably are is just that people don’t believe them or they are to busy
believing other peoples lies that they don’t notice that you are telling the
truth. I think it’s the people who actually admit are the ones who should be
punished not the just automatically say that they didn’t do anything. People
risked their lives because they don’t want a bad word on their name or they
didn’t want to live with people who are just going to talk bad about them. If I
was being accused of something id dint do I would just probably let them kill
me because they are never going to stop accusing you of things. Honor and
Respect is important because that’s how people are liked and hated, if someone
knows how to respect people and be honest with them than that person will
probably be liked by a lot of people, But if that person doesn’t respect or
isn’t honest than that person is probably hated, That’s also what reputation is
about being liked or hated. I would’ve of felt stressed that people are blaming
me for things I didn’t do and I probably would’ve went crazy.

Becoming Innocent (Honor & Respect) (Tanecia)
It was the fact that everyone had kept blaming me for being a witch, that I decided I was going to stand up for myself and tell who I really am, and that I am not a witch at all. Well they risked there lives because they were tired of being accused so they had to stand up for what’s right, and people also had family needed to be cut out of the situation that had been happening to them and if they decided to fight for there rights and risks there lives than that’s all that matters. Honor and respect is important in some ways but for instance if you want to get your way to the top with being friendly with everyone to get your position but there is something’s you have to work for, but honor is like the meaning of people understanding what you have done for people top get where you are at. It also takes time because you can’t rush anything but also you have to be the first one to get things done. If I was in their place I would feel very hurt and betrayed but it happens to everybody, but I would risk my own life to save someone I love that means a lot to me. And that’s a meaning of showing your love for someone.
