End of the World (Gabby)

I think that the end of world will come when it’s time. I don’t think that the world is going to end this year. Just because the Mayan calendar ends in 2012 doesn’t mean that it’s going to be the end for us. People have been saying for the longest that the world is going to end and up to right now we’re still here. What make people think that this time would be different; I think that it’s just another theory. No one really knows if it is going to happen or not. Maybe the world won’t end but the world for the Mayan’s it will. This might be the start of a new generation of the world; it might end up being a good thing for the world. This year 2012 can bring us all together and end all the wars and end all the haltered in the world, we might be able to live in peace now.  The Mayan calendar might end this year but we still have the Japanese calendar standing. 2012 might be the end of the Mayan generation, but this might not be the end of men kind. Some people think that the Mayan’s could have destroyed part of the calendar and just left it all up to 2012 to fool people but we will never know what really happened.

The Mayan calender has been in the news lately predicting the end of the world in December 2012.  Do you believe the world is fated to end then?  Why or Why not? Every person I believe as a Christian that the world isn’t going to end. We believe that the world will end when Jesus Christ comes back to the world during the rapture to take us home. No man nor woman knows when the world will end until it actually happens. So we know that in history, the Mayans predicted that in their calender that the world will actually end December 21^st, 2012. So some non-believers think that the world will end on that day and not when God calls us all home from all the evil from the world. I think that when that guy thought he can predict the world would end in the year 2000, to find out that his number predictions was counted wrong. Then he tried to say that the world will end in 2011 during the summer. Which he was also wrong about. I just believe that if Jesus is ready to come home and save us, then we will know when we can feel his warm embrace. So you can think that Jesus is going to come home someitme soon, but we all as humans, will never know that right specific time or the right place when He will come but all I know is that when he comes, I’ll be ready.

End of the World (Rocio)

            The Mayan calendar says we will end December 2012, but I don’t believe this is true. I was raised in a very strict church environment. My mother would take me to church almost every day. I went to church 5 days out of the week. Now things have changed and I don’t go to church as often, but I still believe in some things my religion says. I believe that the world will end. I think God will end the world. When I went to church they pointed it out in The Bible many times. I do believe all these things, but I believe many things will happen before God ends the world. They taught me and told me that before the world end there will be many signals of God’s coming. My teachings say that there will be hunger all over the country, wars will be going on, people will be corrupted, there will be horrible storms and flooding, that there will be an Anti-Christ and so much more. I realize and know many of these things have already happened, but there is still many prophecies that have not been fulfilled yet. In the Bible there is a part where it says that no man will know when he comes. That fact right there makes me disagree with the calendar. I think that it says that no man knows when He is coming than a calendar won’t either. I believe that many other worse things have to happen before God comes and ends this world.  

End of the World (Meiko)

I do NOT believe that the world is going to end in December of 2012. The reason being is because it’s not up to anybody in this world as to when GOD comes back & take us home, it’s all up to GOD as to what he’s going to do. I also believe that the world isn’t going to end in December of 2012 because I still have a whole life to live. I have to graduate high school, graduate college, become successful, get married, have children & go to my prom. It’s up to GOD as to when he’s going to come. If it does happened though, I would understand because he’s not doing anything but giving us justice. This world that we live in today is so cruel & you wouldn’t know if your going to get killed tomorrow. It’s a set date when your first born as to when GOD is going to call you home. I would just give advice to anybody who takes it; live everyday like it’s your last, live in the word of GOD & don’t live in FEAR. When you live in fear, you don’t get very far & when you live trying to please PEOPLE, you die trying to please GOD. The world is going to go on as long as GOD has destined it to be, but people have to remember that’s it’s about  when GOD wants it & NOT when they want it.
